Aerodynamic Resultant

The aerodynamic resultant is the force created by the air on the aircraft.

It is broken down into two forces: Lift and Drag. The relationship between the lift and drag coefficients allows us to draw the Polar of the aircraft.

Formula

• $P_d$ : Dynamic pressure => $P_d$ = $\frac{1}{2}\rho V^2$
• $C$ : Coefficient depending on the incidence and the wing profile
• $\rho$ : Density of the air
• $S$ : Wing area
• $V^2$ : Speed squared of the aircraft
