Arrival Briefing
The arrival briefing is a briefing used after taking the ATIS or contacting the arrival Aerodrome. It is composed of:
- Check of the accessibility of the terrain
- Calculation of the descent point
- Controlled / Uncontrolled?
- Open to public air traffic?
- Length of runway and type of surface?
- Position of the runway turn.
- Height or altitude of the runway turn and of the possible vertical passage.
- Overflight to be avoided, mark windsock.
- Reminder of time and point of descent to altitude and setting.
- Arrival path and type of integration.
- Direction of turn.
- Speed reduction point.
