Arrival Briefing

The arrival briefing is a briefing used after taking the ATIS or contacting the arrival Aerodrome. It is composed of:

• Check of the accessibility of the terrain
• Calculation of the descent point
• Controlled / Uncontrolled?
• Open to public air traffic?
• Length of runway and type of surface?
• Position of the runway turn.
• Height or altitude of the runway turn and of the possible vertical passage.
• Overflight to be avoided, mark windsock.
• Reminder of time and point of descent to altitude and setting.
• Arrival path and type of integration.
• Direction of turn.
• Speed reduction point.
