An elementary particle is the smallest possible element of the Universe. It is not composed of other objects. It cannot be divided or broken in two.
When a particle appears, it is never alone. At the same time as it appears, a particle of opposite charge appears, for example a Positron. On the other hand, some particles are themselves their own antiparticle, for example Photons are also antiphotons. This is the Antimatter.
