Flight Levels

Allow you to limit collisions by basing Aircraft on a Standard Setting.

To determine its flight level, the Semi-Circular Rule is used.

If in VFR, you fly at a level ending in 5.
If in IFR, one flies at a level ending in 0.

The flight level setting is used above 3000ft ASFC - 20230127073205.

Transition

When the pilot passes above 3000ft ASFC, he must transition to flight level.

The maximum transition area is 5000ft, so any pilot wishing to fly above 5000ft must be at flight level. The transition area must not be navigated in Bearing.
