I think terrorism only exists in our head. Terrorism works when we allow our imagination to be captured by the terrorists, and then overreact to our own fears.
If we free our imagination from the terrorists, and react in a balanced and cool way – terrorism will fail.
We have to keep things in perspective. Terrorism "only" kills 30 000 when car accidents kill millions.
So, to kill terrorism, governments should focus on clandestine actions against the terror networks, and the media should keep things in perspective and avoid hysteria. The media are the source of many problems in our society, and they're also an indirect source of terrorism. I'm sure if there were no media, there would be no terrorists because nobody would talk about them.
