My Thoughts
Some good management ideas... Apart from that, this book is a real intellectual swindle!
It's about wild liberalism, not really about ideas on how to live better in a sustainable world, as one would expect. As for the revolutionary side of the approach, we'll have to pass. So Mr. Ferriss has set up a company that is doing quite well (good for him) and has outsourced everything that could be outsourced to do as little as possible.
Not bad, eh? Yes, the only difference with the entrepreneur who wants to get bigger is that Ferriss wants to take advantage of his earnings to work as little as possible and enjoy life. This is not a bad thing in itself, but to pretend that this is possible for the majority of people is a complete scam. For Mr. Ferriss to enjoy a lot of free time, others have to row for him. Knowing that if everyone does this, no one will work anymore. A real dream world? Well, no, it's just not possible, if no one works, there is no creation of "added value" to use a Marxian language. Although, it might be possible soon with artificial intelligence...
Ferriss doesn't care about the world. If he can outsource, it is precisely on the basis of the differences in wage costs.
To keep all the same the chapters where the author makes fun of the world of the stultifying work in which we are imprisoned for many, rather enjoyable. the remainder... Do with it what you want.
In short, this book is just blah for many pages and will not teach you anything special, unless you really know nothing about business. In this case, it may eventually be a little useful.
To Read or Not to Read
Don't waste your time with this book, there are many more interesting ones.
